Lets Make a Spoon Rest or Ramekin!!! Stand Alone Wheel throwing class.
Come and make a spoon rest or make it taller for a soy sauce dish. We want to help you cook so let’s all make art together!!! This stand alone class is specifically to give space to those who want to learn about making pottery on the wheel and maybe aren’t sure about signing up for a whole wheel throwing series yet. Come try it out and if you love it you can sign up for a series in the futre. Or maybe you want to do something fun and interesting with your friends. Either way, this class is for you! No experience necessary, all materials provided during this 2 hour wheel throwing class. Class will begin with introductions and familiarizing students to the pottery wheel, tools and studio environment. The teacher he will will guide the students into setting up with clay and tools and start with a wheel throwing demo of a spoon rest. Participants will then have time to work on the wheel themself learning about centering the clay to make a spoon rest. Class will finish in time to clean up as well! Price includes all materials, firings and glazes and tools to work on the wheel. This way you can focus on having fun and making a spoon rest to use or gift. There are three available self assessed sliding scale spots available in each class. Starting in the new year~ We are going to have a fun new curriculum of a different intro project every month.

Use of tools and pottery wheel
Instruction on the pottery process with a patient knowledgable teacher.
Pick out a color to go on the spoon rest as it will be glazed 1/2 in our recycle gray and 1/2 in a glaze of your choosing.
Time allowing Additional clay to pinch a quick spoon at the end of class after clean up.
This class is appropriate for teenages and kids if they are mature and good at clean up. We find that children 11yrs old and younger have difficulty with the strength and coordination required for this tool.
There are two prices, one at the regular price of $85 and then the other the other at a self assessed sliding scale price of $60! So chose which one is right for you.
